Cherry Cacao Fab Four Smoothie

Skip the chocolate covered cherries and go with this Cherry Cacao Be Well Smoothie. It offers a similar taste but a much friendlier nutritional profile.

Tart cherries boast several health benefits including: lowering blood pressure, modulating blood glucose, enhancing cognitive function, protecting against oxidative stress and reducing inflammation.

MCT oil is beneficial for maintaining a favorable bacteria profile in the gut because it fights bad bacteria and yeast. It’s also beneficial for decreasing inflammation and increasing fat burning. It provides quick energy but doesn’t spike blood sugar.

Chia seeds are full of brain-boosting Omega-3’s as well as high in fiber. Spinach provides antioxidants and a punch of vitamin C as well as other minerals like potassium.

Together, the ingredients in this Cherry Cacao Be Well Smoothie hit all the marks of the Fab Four – protein, fat, fiber and greens. This means that unlike most smoothies you can buy at a shop, this one won’t spike your blood sugar and leave you crashing and craving. Instead, it’ll balance your blood sugar, calm your hunger hormones, and deliver sustained energy.
