How Seed Cycling Can Support Hormones, PMS & Fertility with Beeya Founders Yasmin Nouri and Kaya Purohit

If you have ever felt dismissed when you brought up painful periods, hormonal acne, mood swings, or irregular cycles, this episode is going to feel like a breath of fresh air.

This week on the Be Well by Kelly podcast I sat down with Yasmin Nouri and Kaya Purohit, the co-founders of Beeya, a wellness company dedicated to helping women overcome hormonal imbalances through natural, food-based solutions. Their story is personal, their science is solid, and their approach is exactly the kind of simple, sustainable wellness I believe in.

About Yasmin Nouri and Kaya Purohit

Yasmin and Kaya are co-founders of Beeya, a wellness company helping women overcome hormonal imbalances using natural, food-based solutions, inspired by their own struggles and seed cycling journeys.

Yasmin's story started when she went off hormonal birth control and experienced what she later identified as post-birth-control syndrome, including acne, mood swings, and painful periods. Kaya, who was studying seed cycling in graduate school, encouraged her to try it. The results were undeniable and Beeya was born.

Their philosophy is built on a simple belief: food is information. The nutrients we consume communicate directly with our bodies. And as Kaya puts it, health is not created in the doctor's office. It is created in our kitchens, on our farms, in our grocery stores, and in our communities.

What We Cover in This Episode

This conversation goes deep on the topics that matter most to women who want to understand and support their hormonal health without relying solely on medication or guesswork.

We cover the personal stories behind Beeya and what drove both founders to create a solution rooted in food rather than pharmaceuticals. We talk about what post-birth-control syndrome actually is and why it is so underrecognized. We discuss what painful, irregular, or heavy periods may be signaling about hormonal health and why these symptoms deserve more than a dismissal.

We also go deep on blood sugar balance and whole food nutrition as the foundation of hormonal health, which is exactly where my Fab Four framework and Beeya's philosophy align completely. What you eat every single day is either supporting or undermining your hormonal balance. And we talk about how to support your hormones through every stage of life, from your twenties through perimenopause and beyond.

Finally we talk about what it is like to build a mission-driven wellness brand while navigating motherhood and why education has always been the heart of everything Beeya does.

Beeya makes seed cycling as simple and accessible as possible. Two blends, one for each half of the cycle, pre-portioned and ready to add to smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, or anything you are already eating. No complicated protocols. Just simple, intentional nutrition that supports your hormones from the inside out.
