Heather's Famous Grain-Free Walnut Protein Banana Bread

I almost forgot how easy and delicious this high-protein banana bread was.

Next time you have a few extra ripe bananas on hand, you'll want to throw them in a bowl and make this recipe. I add in a scoop of my Be Well By Kelly protein powder, and each slice comes out to about 10 grams of protein, loaded with healthy fats, and fiber that the whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Start by mashing 3 ripe bananas with a fork until it forms a mushy consistency.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
  4. Grease loaf pan using coconut oil (I use a piece of baking parchment paper also to prevent sticking).
  5. Pour mixture into loaf pan and bake until internal temperature reaches 200 degrees. Bake times may vary.**
  6. Once your banana bread is ready, let cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm, and top with nut butter or a drizzle of olive oil & a pinch sea salt.

**Note: Bake time varies. For banana bread, bake for roughly 50-60 minutes. For muffins, bake for 25-30 minutes. Check both versions periodically to avoid burning.
