389: Why You Feel Stuck: Trauma Patterns, Self-Worth + Nervous System Healing

This week on the Be Well by Kelly Podcast I am doing something a little different and pulling together four of my favorite conversations on a topic I am actively prioritizing at this stage of my life: mental health and building resilience.

We spend so much time optimizing what we eat, how we move, and how we sleep. And all of that matters deeply. But underneath all of it is an emotional and mental foundation that most of us were never taught how to tend to. I think that is the missing piece for so many women who are doing everything right on paper and still do not feel okay.

In this compilation I revisit Joe Hudson on how unprocessed emotions quietly drive anxiety, burnout, and disconnection. Maggie Nick on conditioning, people-pleasing as a nervous system response, and what it actually feels like to stop performing a version of yourself that everyone else approves of. Gabby Reece on identity, ambition, aging, and what it looks like to redefine success around presence instead of performance. And Dr. Nicole LePera on how so much of what we label as being too sensitive, too reactive, or bad at boundaries is actually the nervous system doing exactly what it learned to do in order to stay safe.

The version of yourself that is well is not the one who has everything figured out. It is the one who has stopped outsourcing her sense of self to everyone and everything around her. I hope each of these conversations lands for you the way they did for me.
