Healthy Homemade Granola Bars

My boys always want “bars” and I love how easy these homemade granola bars come together!

Amidst the array of seemingly healthy snacks, store-bought granola bars often stand out as a convenient choice for a quick energy boost. Promising a mix of oats, nuts, and sometimes even fruits, these bars appear to be a wholesome option for the health-conscious individual on the go. However, a closer look at their ingredient list often reveals that they are laden with added sugars, artificial flavors, and preservatives, negating any potential health benefits.

Luckily, creating granola bars at home is super simple and you get to control the ingredients you are using. We skip the fillers, seed oils, and rice syrups normally found in store-bought varieties and offer a lower glycemic impact by adding in Be Well by Kelly protein, honey to sweeten, more nuts for extra healthy fats, and less oats than traditional granola bars. You can snag all the wholesome ingredients I am using from Now Foods and use code KELLY for 20% off your order.

Pro tip: These Homemade Granola Bars taste even better when you make them together. Make it a fun afternoon of snack prep with the kids!
