Super Bowl Snacks
1/2 cup nut butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Slice dates in half and remove pit
Spoon nut butter into date and top with chopped nuts
Drizzle with raw honey
1lb 100% grass fed ground meat
1/4 cup ground flax meal (or potato starch)
1 minced garlic clove
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp thyme
1 tbsp fresh or dried parsley (or fresh)
1/2 tbsp pink salt
1/2 tbsp onion powder
4 tbsp of Tomato Paste
2 tbsp of honey
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Use your hands (or a wooden spoon) to mix beef, egg, flax meal, garlic, oregano, thyme, parsley, salt and onion powder
Form into meatballs about 1″ in diameter and place on a baking sheet
Bake 12 minutes
While meatballs are baking in a small sauce pan mix honey and tomato paste with 2 tbsp of water – stir and cook for 4 min.
Remove meatballs to glaze with tomato/honey sauce.
Bake for an additional 5 minutes to heat sauce and thicken.
