Super Bowl Snacks

Ingredients 

  • 12 dates

  • 1/2 cup nut butter

  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

  • honey

Directions

  1. Slice dates in half and remove pit

  2. Spoon nut butter into date and top with chopped nuts

  3. Drizzle with raw honey

Meatloaf Meatballs 

  • 1lb 100% grass fed ground meat

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup ground flax meal (or potato starch)

  • 1 minced garlic clove

  • 1 tbsp oregano

  • 1 tbsp thyme

  • 1 tbsp fresh or dried parsley (or fresh)

  • 1/2 tbsp pink salt

  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder

  • 4 tbsp of Tomato Paste

  • 2 tbsp of honey

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Use your hands (or a wooden spoon) to mix beef, egg, flax meal, garlic, oregano, thyme, parsley, salt and onion powder

  3. Form into meatballs about 1″ in diameter and place on a baking sheet

  4. Bake 12 minutes

  5. While meatballs are baking in a small sauce pan mix honey and tomato paste with 2 tbsp of water – stir and cook for 4 min.

  6. Remove meatballs to glaze with tomato/honey sauce.

  7. Bake for an additional 5 minutes to heat sauce and thicken.
