Blueberry Coconut Creme Fab Four Smoothie

Blueberries and coconut combine beautifully in this creamy, fresh and filling Fab Four smoothie.

Unlike many fruit-based store-bought smoothies, this one is extremely low in sugar. The only sugar in my Blueberry Coconut Creme smoothie is from the blueberries, which are a low sugar fruit. Any blood sugar spike they would otherwise cause is blunted by the addition of protein (via my minimal ingredient and completely clean protein powder) and fat from the coconut oil.

That’s the magic of the Fab Four! I created this loosely structured formula as an easy way to ensure blood sugar balance at any meal. And a non-exhaustive list of balancing your blood sugar includes:

  1. Place all of your ingredients in a high speed blender. Blend to your desired consistency.
  2. Top with shredded coconut, and enjoy!
