Build a Better Morning Routine with Be Well Protein Latte Recipes

Elevate your morning coffee routine with our delicious Be Well Protein Latte Recipes featuring Be Well by Kelly Protein Powders!

Coffee is a beloved staple of our mornings, providing that perfect little buzz to kick start the day. Packed with benefits, coffee offers B vitamins, potassium, magnesium, and manganese. Studies even suggest it may reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia, boost fat burning, and lower the chances of stroke, heart disease, and diabetes. However, could your morning coffee be affecting your blood sugar levels?

Research indicates that consuming strong black coffee before breakfast can significantly increase your blood glucose response to meals—by about 50%. Factors like stress, which triggers the release of cortisol and adrenaline (and can be exacerbated by excessive caffeine), may lead to spikes in glucose levels. This fluctuation can negatively impact mood, food choices, and impulsive behaviors throughout the day.

As a coffee lover myself, I’ve found that pairing my morning cup with a Fab 4 meal helps mitigate these effects. Instead of diving straight into coffee, I recommend breaking your fast with 30 grams of protein. This strategy not only supports stable blood sugar levels but also helps elongate your glucose curve, preventing food-related crashes and cravings.

How to Upgrade your Morning Latte

On mornings when I’m not particularly hungry for breakfast, one of my favorite ways to savor my coffee is by using Be Well Latte recipes with Be Well by Kelly Protein Powders. This is a simple way to sweeten my drinks, whether it’s coffee or tea, without the added sugar. Hot or cold, it’s my go-to choice because it packs over 20 grams of protein and 16 grams of grass-fed collagen, all made with 100% organic flavors and organic monk fruit powder. Plus, there are no artificial flavors or fillers—just pure, wholesome goodness. So if you’re looking for ways to enjoy your morning brew while prioritizing your protein intake, consider trying out these nutritious latte recipes!

P.S. The clumpiness or stickiness of the supplement will likely only occur in our beef protein due to the naturally occurring collagen. We made the choice intentionally to not include emulsifiers or fillers that may keep the protein from clumping to maintain the integrity of our ingredients. Instead we advise friends to first fill the blender with liquid followed by the protein powder in a high-powered blender in order to reduce the chance of sticking.

*Pro Tip from my friends the Quinones family: To get a better consistency with my grass-fed protein (no clumps!), blend your milk and any extras with the protein using a high-speed blender or handheld frother in your coffee mug. Pour the coffee over to enjoy a foamy latte experience.
