Exclusive Fab Four Smoothies for the Summer

I’m sharing three of my favorite Fab Four Smoothies from my book Body Love Every Day. Your official sneak peek into the flavor-packed and body-loving recipes found within the pages! When temperatures rise, I lean into meal options that are satiating and nourishing, but still light and hydrating. These smoothies check all the boxes.

The Fab Four – protein, fat, fiber, and greens – is the winning combo I’ve used for over a decade with clients to achieve the results we want. Not just body composition (although there’s that, too). But improved energy and mental clarity, a sense of satiety after eating, mood stability, and better metabolic markers. Whether I’m looking to balance big toddler feelings with my own boys or help a Hollywood A-lister reach her goals, The Fab Four is my tried, true, and proven tool of choice.

When I nailed the Fab Four in smoothie form, it became a morning ritual that set my day up for mind and body success. It’s easy. It’s quick. It’s delicious. And it keeps me full, calm, and energized for 4-6 hours. My clients have been using it effectively for years to do the same. Now, let’s get into three of my favorite Fab Four smoothies for summertime sippin’:

Chlorophyll Mint Fab 4 Smoothie:

Did you know that chlorophyll is powerful for kicking the bloat?! It’s also effective at controlling hunger, cravings, and keeping body odor at bay. Be Well Tip: Keep a chlorophyll dropper in your purse to add a couple drops to your water throughout the day in order to reap its broad benefits. I get mine from NOW Foods (use code KELLY).

Directions: *For the chlorophyll mint water, stir together 1 teaspoon of NOW Foods Liquid Chlorophyll (use code KELLY), handful of peppermint leaves, and 4-5 cups of filtered water. Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend to your desired consistency.

Tropical Treat Fab 4 Smoothie:

While pineapple is a higher-sugar fruit, the Fab Four works to allow you to have your tropical pineapple smoothie without blowing your blood sugar through the roof. How? Adding protein, almond butter (fat), and chia seeds (fiber) works to blunt the blood sugar spike that pineapple would otherwise cause.

  • 1 scoop of BWBK Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 2 tablespoon chia seeds
  • Handful of spinach
  • 1/4 cup of pineapple (fresh or frozen)
  • 1-2 cups of unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon NOW Foods organic shredded coconut (optional) - Use code KELLY

Directions: Place all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend to your desired consistency. Top with the shredded coconut if desired.

Vanilla Spice Fab 4 Smoothie:

This is the perfect smoothie for when you wake up with a little bit of a sweet tooth, but you still want to make healthy decisions to honor your body. A tiny bit of turmeric (alongside a pinch of black pepper to improve absorbability) combined with cinnamon and cloves offers just the right amount of spice. Turmeric is a highly potent antioxidant, which is effective at downregulating any inflammation.

  • 1 scoop of BWBK Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 tablespoon MCT oil
  • 2 tablespoon acacia fiber
  • Handful of spinach
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 to 2 cups unsweetened coconut milk

Directions: Place all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend to your desired consistency.
